Sponsorship Changes Lives

We are fortunate to live where we do. Everywhere we turn, we have the things we need. Feeling hungry? You can make a quick visit to your pantry. Feeling thirsty? Head over to your sink and turn on the tap. Feeling cold? You can choose from one of your many sweaters to warm you.

Now, imagine if that wasn’t true. Imagine that you are feeling hungry and you don’t have food around. Or that your mouth is dry, and you won’t be able to access water for several hours. It’s a scary thought, isn’t it?

For the children in Korah, this is their reality. Securing enough food and fresh water for themselves and their families is never a guarantee. Instead of playing and learning at school, they are dealing with grumbling tummies and cracked lips. They need our support.

The good news is, we can help. Even though we are thousands of miles away from Ethiopia, we can make their lives easier so that they can experience childhood. Korah Kids offers sponsorships that ensure each child has what they need. For $52 a month, you will give a child food, water, and schooling. This money will also help to pay for their rent. You can be a real-life superhero.

By becoming a sponsor, you are not only helping the child but also their entire family. Can you imagine as a mom or a dad, not being able to give your child what they need? It would be difficult not to feel completely helpless.

Humanitarian work fights that feeling of helplessness by using hope, love, and support. Our goal is to make sure that each child in Addis Ababa is healthy and happy so that they can focus on being little kids. Instead of feeling hungry, they can explore their curiosity with the world. We think that this is exactly how a child should spend their time.

We have been fortunate enough to meet the families of Korah, and they are truly special. Whenever we visit them on a group humanitarian trip, we bring blankets, food and many other kinds of supplies. We are always received with countless smiles and hugs. At Korah Kids, we cherish our connection to this community, and we want to share this feeling of love with you.

Whether you can travel with us to Addis Ababa or not, this is your chance to make a difference. Many of our current sponsors regard their sponsored child as one of their own, even though there are thousands of miles separating them. Isn’t that amazing?

Now, $52 a month may seem like a lot. But, if you take the time to think about what that money is offering a child, it’s not. If we break it down, that is $13 a week. That’s most likely a fraction of what you are paying for groceries. Simply imagine that you are paying for one more mouth to feed at your family’s table each week.
